Earth Warriors Day 2024 was successfully held at the historic Oudong Pagoda on September 28, bringing together 179 dedicated participants gathered at the foothills of the iconic Oudong Pagoda to participate in a clean-up activity of the vicinity. Volunteers worked diligently to collect a total of 423.8 kg of waste in just 90 minutes, demonstrating the power of community-driven environmental stewardship.
The event was organized by Infinity Sport Co. Ltd with the support of Banjaran Asset Management Cambodia Co. Ltd, and was generously sponsored by CCU Commercial Bank and T2W. It also received strong backing from key local authorities including the Kandal Department of Environment, the Department of Tourism, and the Ponhea Lueu District Office, all of whom share a common goal of fostering environmental awareness and contributing to a cleaner, greener Cambodia.
Simultaneously, Earth Warriors Day took place across 10 other countries, including Malaysia, Australia, Thailand, Myanmar, Nepal, Bangladesh, Timor-Leste, Indonesia, China, and Japan, underscoring the global commitment to environmental protection.
In his remarks, Mr. Peov Somanak, Director of the Kandal Province Department of Environment, praised the initiative and expressed hope that similar events would continue to be organized in the future to further enhance environmental conservation in the region.
Participants for the programme came from a variety of groups including from CCU Commercial Bank, T2W, Philip Bank, Fencing Federation of Cambodia, CamED, Banjaran Asset Management, Renovate and Co as well as the Departments of Environment and Tourism.
